HL Global lifts FY2025 revenue 15% to S$6.6m but full-year net profit slips 11% to S$1.5m on lower interest and licence income

Summary:

  • Group revenue rose 14.7% to S$6.6 million in FY2025, driven by a stronger second half at Copthorne Hotel Cameron Highlands as MICE demand and domestic travel boosted room and F&B takings.

  • Net profit attributable to shareholders declined 10.5% to S$1.47 million, with operating profit of the hospitality segment offset by continued losses in property development and lower group-level income.

  • Other income fell 32.8% to S$1.52 million as interest income dropped from S$1.90 million to S$1.50 million on lower deposit rates and licence fee revenue ceased after the termination of the Hotel Equatorial Shanghai agreement on 1 March 2025.

  • The balance sheet remained strong with total assets of S$84.6 million, equity of S$82.4 million and net asset value per share at S$0.88; cash and bank balances increased to S$63.5 million, including S$58.3 million of longer-tenor fixed deposits.

  • No dividend was recommended for FY2025 as the company prioritises conserving cash for asset improvements in Cameron Highlands and potential new investment opportunities, while navigating rising operating costs and intense hotel competition.
