Yangzijiang Maritime to Further Expand and Modernise its Fleet Portfolio with 24 Additional Newbuilds
• Key details of the 24 additional newbuilds are as follows:
o 6 Bulk Carriers newbuilds (of approximately 64,500 DWT each) with deliveries scheduled in 2029 and 2030.
o 6 Product Oil/Chemical Tankers newbuilds (of approximately 49,800 DWT each) with deliveries scheduled in 2028 to 2030.
o 4 Stainless Steel Chemical Tankers newbuilds (of approximately 28,000 DWT each) with deliveries scheduled in 2028 and 2029.
o 4 Stainless Steel Chemical Tankers newbuilds (of approximately 29,000 DWT each) with deliveries scheduled in 2028 and 2029.
o 4 Oil Tankers newbuilds (of approximately 319,000 DWT each) with deliveries scheduled in 2029 and 2030.
• These newbuilds will be funded through a combination of equity co-investment and debt financing.
• In addition, the Group has signed options for another 16 vessels, which allow the Group to retain the ability to further scale its fleet when market conditions are favourable, while enabling disciplined fleet expansion and limiting upfront capital commitments.
• Following that, the Group’s newbuilds portfolio will increase to a total of 98 vessels (including options), comprising
o 7 newbuilds that have been delivered (including one vessel delivered to its buyer under a vessel sale contract),
o 75 firm newbuilds under construction (12 newbuilds were resold including one vessel delivered to its buyer under a vessel sale contract) and
o 16 optional newbuilds, for future strategic market-driven growth opportunities.
